Me on the web

11/07/2026

I think it's a good way to start this off with a little rambling about the page itself and my "journey" until here.

Well, I've always had some interest in programming (although it shifted more into design now) and I've been lurking for a while ever since I've heard of the indie web, I loved seeing people's creations and naturally began to want to do the same. Like I said on the about page, this is not my first attempt on something like this. In fact, it's my third (and most promising) one. I think between my first try and now, I've learned and changed a bunch.

On the time of my first try, I knew nearly nothing of web coding, I was learning bits and bits at school but I was so stuck in this little cage that I made for myself by only relying on other people's layouts and pages and creations, that it didn't lead me anywhere. I couldn't put out the things I had in mind for it and I got too frustrated and ended up letting go of the idea for a good time.

The second try wasn't THAT long ago from now, and I did go further. I made a fairly okay page with some little widgets but that was it. I got bored and (again) frustrated that I couldn't create something as good and as fast as other people. Plus, I had other things to concern myself with, so I let go off it.

This time, though, I think I learned to have much more patience than I did before, and I'm trying to not compare my page with others'. I even followed a cycle of "sketching -> wireframing -> actually making", which I never done before for this. I'm feeling much motivated and, even though I still have more important things to think about, I feel like this time I won't just drop it, and I'm actually having fun making this little page. Plus, ever since I started making this, I've spent waaaay less time mindlessly scrolling through social media and that feels like a reward/general progress already.

Anyway, this website will definetly change lots as I get more confident to create and explore more :)
